Registration complete, thank you.
Expect the first newsletter to arrive on Monday 4 August. Each Monday we will look forwards, exploring the claims made for the future impacts of AI in all fields and markets, as well as the potential species wide implications for humanity.
On Wednesdays the newsletter will focus on a current application of AI, or recent achievement of AI you may not have heard about. This includes feats of infrastructure engineering that support AI, legal developments, scientific study and more.
Friday's will examine the complex history of AI development. Where has it come from, how does it work and who are the important players.
My mission here is to develop a community of people in London, and hopefully the entire UK, who are awake to the world around them. AI is a fiction become real, there is an adjustment and knowledge gap in the public that needs filling. The industrial revolution transformed how we worked. The internet promised to connect us before tearing us apart. AI changes everything, it is a tool, a medium, an agent and a weapon. The logic behind why we won't slow down is almost certain and worth understanding.
Hype is irrelevant, the big players are all-in already. I want to try and sell you on the future that they have bought, and then allow well-informed discussion to flourish.
The production quality of this newsletter will not be high, we are a very small team, our resources are aimed towards fact checking and creating a storied documentation of everything AI.
In the future there will be a space for subscribers to submit questions, this can include a direct request for sources, or to suggest things you want included in future newsletters.
If you have read this far you are already in my target audience, the newsletters that are free will be short and without depth. I don't want to leave anyone feeling that this knowledge is out of reach. That being said, I would like to also do a in-depth version of each newsletter, likely a monthly subscription model. My hope is to start as low as £4.99 per month and with scale, if possible, lower that even further. I also will accept donations, as I have no plans to work with corporations or run ads. I want to remain impartial, unbiased and at service to those who I'm providing for.
